“World class” – Many Wolves fans rave about “unlucky” player after Europa League win

Wolves put themselves in a rather strong position to qualify for the Europa League group stages after defeating Torino 3-2 on Thursday night.

They will carry a one-goal advantage into next week’s return leg at Molineux, not before they host Burnley in the Premier League this weekend.

The first goal of the game was declared an own goal despite Romain Saiss’ claims that it was his as the ball fell into the net off Torino’s Gleison Bremer from a Joao Moutinho free-kick.

Diogo Jota was then picked out by Adama Traore to double their lead with his strike partner Raul Jimenez coolly slotting home in between two goals from the home side, which included a penalty from Andrea Belotti.

The performance from Saiss in particular, who has been linked with a move away from the club this month (according to Star via Sporx), has drawn plaudits from some of the old gold faithful.

One supporter called him a ‘class professional’ who always puts in a 7/10 performance which was echoed by another who labelled him ‘world class.’

A further fan claimed the 29-year-old would be worth €100m (£90.5m) in the current transfer market if he could stick in the odd 25-yard goal, like his midfield counterpart Ruben Neves.
