Loftus-Cheek and Benjamin Mendy respond as Batshuayi demands an explanation from N'Golo Kante

Chelsea fought back to salvage a point against Ajax in a dramatic 4-4 draw in the Champions League on Tuesday night, and while Michy Batshuayi and N’Golo Kante did not feature for very long, the pair have been busy since.

Belgian striker Batshuayi was joined by his 2018 World Cup-winning teammate, plus Kepa Arrizabalaga, Everton’s Moise Kean and Manchester United women’s duo Lauren James and Katie Zelem at an event for Adidas, and left Kante in stitches.

The event was part of Adidas’ launch of the Euro 2020 official match ball, Uniforia, intended to promote diversity and named after the euphoria of top-level sport.

Speaking during a Questions and Answers session at the event, one of Batshuayi’s answers on the importance of diversity clearly hit a note with Kante, as the midfielder could not control himself as he burst into hysterics.

Batshuayi was completely unknowing as to why Kante found his answer so funny, as he demanded that the Frenchman explained his actions before passing the baton over to the 28-year-old to answer the next question.

His questions have since extended onto social media, with Batshuayi posting to Instagram a clip of the moment, captioned “explain me Kante?”
