Everton fans were delighted with the performance of midfielder Andre Gomes as they beat West Ham United on Saturday.
Marco Silva’s men returned to winning ways at Goodison Park, with Bernard and Gylfi Sigurdsson on the scoresheet in a comfortable 2-0 win.
Gomes, though, caught the eye of most supporters.
Per WhoScored, he registered a total of 61 touches and a pass completion rate of 80% throughout the 90 minutes.
The former Barcelona star also completed three dribbles, won one aerial duel and one tackle.
And supporters were quick to take to Twitter to hail Gomes’ display, with some even claiming that he should have been awarded Man of the Match instead of Colombian defender Yerry Mina.
Indeed, the Portugal international has struggled for game time this season, missing the recent league clashes with AFC Bournemouth, Sheffield United and Manchester City due to injury.
Take a look at the best of the reaction below!
well worth the 8hr drive up to Goodison for today’s win, should have been more than the two goals but some very entertaining stuff.
Gomes and Mina were exceptional and Iwobi ran himself into the ground too.

– Could have easily been 3 or 4
– Andre Gomes back to his Rolls-Royce self
– Iwobi class in the 10 role
– One of Walcott's best games
– Sidibe solid performance at RB
– Now need to perform like that consistently

Absolute quality all over the park today, couldn't pick a MOTM there were so many good performances. Bernard was absolutely top drawer both going forward and defensively, ran himself into the ground, a Gomes class, best I've seen from Davies, Sidibe/Keane/Mina solid #EFC #COYB pic.twitter.com/d4Att2zKOq

Sidibe is better than Coleman for me. Davies/Mina brilliant but Andre Gomes MOTM I thought. Up the toffees 💙
